This year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas was a paradise for car enthusiasts, where tradition meets tech in the most mind-blowing ways. Packed with new gadgets, jaw-dropping builds, live demos, and some serious muscle on display, SEMA 2024 delivered big time. Here are the highlights we know will get "My Car Show Radio" listeners revving!  Listen Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64su0yXQsJM

1. Hot New Product Launches: From Classic Mods to Future Tech

If you’re all about keeping things classic but with a modern twist, these new launches are right up your alley:

  • Eddie Motorsports brought out a slick line of custom-colored radiators, headlights with halo rings and projectors (hello, style AND visibility!), and 40 new steering wheel designs. Plus, billet hood vents for that touch of attitude. It’s like candy for your car.

  • AVAPOW showed off their all-in-one tech toolkit with the A68 jump starter, the supercharged E5 PRO, and the CP MIX, a 4-in-1 setup that combines a jump starter, tire inflator, water washer, and vacuum cleaner. It’s the Swiss Army knife of the garage, perfect for when the open road calls and you need to be ready for anything.

2. Show-Stopping Custom Builds: When Power and Personality Collide

SEMA brought out the wildest, most ambitious custom builds we’ve seen, each one a masterpiece of imagination and horsepower:

  • Dave Kindig’s TwelveAir Corvette was the ultimate showstopper, winning the 2024 Ridler Award. Displayed proudly at AkzoNobel’s booth, this beauty is classic Kindig—it’s like a fine wine, aged to perfection and ready to take on the track.

  • Toyota’s Concept Builds were an off-road dream with the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept, CALTY Land Cruiser ROX, and the rally-tuned GR86 Rally Legacy Concept. A classic that’s built to bash through the backwoods!

  • The Là SLR by S Klub—a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren dressed to the nines in a Speed Racer-inspired look. With custom bubble windshields and a crazy 30-piece body kit, this ride was straight out of a dream… or maybe an old-school racing comic.

3. Live Demos and Experiences: Real Action for Real Fans

What’s better than seeing the latest gear? Watching it in action! SEMA gave fans a chance to see, hear, and feel the thrill with these epic experiences:

  • OPTIMA Village was the place to be, with live project builds, celebrity drivers, and some mean machines on display.

  • Shell’s Performance Unbound Experience had folks lining up for their racing simulators and interactive displays. There’s nothing like shredding the digital track when you can’t be on the real one.

  • RWB Porsche Build Live by Akira Nakai—this was happening right there in the Silver Lot. It’s mesmerizing watching a Porsche transform before your eyes, custom body panels and all.

4. Battle of the Builders: A Friendly Fight Among Legends

One of SEMA’s biggest hits, the Battle of the Builders, turned up the heat as top builders from across the country threw down with their latest and greatest. This contest is where trends are born, and watching these artists work is like seeing the next big thing in real-time.

5. Overland Experience: Bringing the Wild to the Strip

For those who like their classic rides with a side of adventure, SEMA introduced the Overland Experience. It was an outdoor playground filled with overland-ready vehicles, complete with pop-out tents, survival gear, and portable kitchens. Just pack up, hit the trail, and don’t look back!

6. The Legendary SEMA Cruise: A Parade to End All Parades

On the final day, SEMA Cruise had over 1,200 customized cars parading out of the Las Vegas Convention Center in a big, bold finale. Imagine every kind of vehicle you could dream of, all in one place, rolling out in a line that goes on and on. There’s no better way to celebrate another year of killer builds, epic tools, and an unstoppable community of car lovers.

SEMA 2024 had it all: innovation, style, raw power, and a nod to classic tradition. For everyone who couldn’t make it to Vegas this year, don’t worry—we’ll keep the updates coming, so you’ll feel like you’re right there with us. Until next year, keep the classics running, the engines roaring, and remember: life’s too short to drive boring cars!

That’s the rundown, folks! If you’ve got questions or just want to share your favorite build, hit us up on social media. We’d love to hear which rides got your gears turning.
