A wide variety of vehicles crossed the block on the second day of the Barrett-Jackson 2026 Palm Beach Auction. Friday’s top 10 sales of more than $1.3 million spanned the 1956-2006 model years, but they had one common trait: All of them were American cars.
This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Custom Coupe sold for $159,500
Many of the vehicles on the list were convertibles or roadsters, but the top car was a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Custom Coupe with a fuel-injected 455 and a Pro-Touring suspension that sold for $159,500. Podcast host and lifestyle blogger Samantha Busch and her husband, NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, took the #2 and #3 spots with their 1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible and 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom Coupe, respectively. Cars from Ford and Dodge rounded out the top five.
This 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Custom SUV sold for $126,500
The second half of the top 10 list starts with a classic adventure vehicle, a 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Custom SUV that went for $126,500 — and was also the only SUV. After that, it was all convertibles and roadsters, including a gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Corvette finished in Ermine White with Sateen Silver coves, and furnished with a red interior. Their new owners bought them in the perfect city to enjoy some top-down driving right by the water.
