A celebration of all things cars, Monterey Car Week has cemented itself as a must-visit event for automotive enthusiasts. What began as a small show paired with the Pebble Beach Road Race has blossomed into a spectacle that combines classic cars with a multitude of micro events that include multiple unveilings from manufacturers. For 2026, Acura, Lucid, and BMW are set to unveil new concepts that should shape each brand’s future, plus Gordon Murray Automotive will introduce a new member of its Special Vehicles squad.
Let’s start with Acura: The Torrance, California-based luxury and performance division of Honda is set to unveil a “bold new era” for the brand going forward. (That’s somewhat vague, but it’s more than the promises we receive from politicians, so score one for Acura!) Creative Director Yasutake Tsuchida and his team have created “new design language” that will influence all future models beginning with the fourth-generation RDX Hybrid. Lucid, who made a splash at Monterey Car Week 2025 with the Gravity X Concept, will be unveiling “something new” for 2026. Fans can join them at Concours Village from August 13-16 to score an exclusive first look at what is next from the Newark, California-based luxury EV manufacturer.

BMW will also be unveiling two concept cars this year. The first is a fully-electric BMW M Concept Neue Klasse that is making its first North American appearance at House of M in Downtown Monterey after debuting this past June at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The second unveiling will take place on Friday, August 14, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The Vision BMW ALPINA also will be making its first splash in North America, its second publicly since debuting at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este earlier this year. The press conference will be held at the ALPINA stand at 11:25 a.m. (PST).

Lastly, Gordon Murray Automotive will reveal a new Special Vehicles supercar on August 14th , also at The Quail. The unveiling event will be hosted by Professor Gordon Murray CBE and three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti MBE. The supercar will be the centerpiece of a display that will include the Le Mans GTR supercar and a selection of customer-owned T.50 supercars.
