The second-generation Chevrolet C/K trucks (1967-72) brought a fresh, handsome design as well as new features including an AM/FM radio, carpeting, big-block power, and power front disc brakes. Today’s AutoHunter Spotlight vehicle has had some updates of its own, though it is powered by its reportedly original (and rebuilt) 350ci V-8 and Turbo Hydra-matic three-speed automatic transmission. Go to AutoHunter to start bidding on this restored 1972 Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne Stepside. It comes from a private seller in Oregon with a spare diamond-plated rear bumper, original black vinyl bench seat, and clear title.
As part of a frame-off restoration in 2000, the original sheet metal was repainted in the current two-tone color scheme of Hugger Orange and Antique White. Features include chrome bumpers, bright trim, dual mirrors, cab-mounted fuel cap and antenna, Stepside bed with black bed mat, padded tailgate chains, and dual exhaust outlets.
A 2.5-inch suspension lift puts more distance between this C/K and the outdoors. A set of 15-inch American Racing wheels with manual locking front hubs and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A radial tires help it get through and over obstacles.
The most significant change inside the cabin is the switch from the original bench seat to a pair of black cloth bucket seats, which is divided by a center console with an armrest and a pair of cupholders. The original steering wheel was also swapped out for a wood-rimmed Grant steering wheel. Other features include a tilt steering column with an automatic shifter, power steering, black dash pad, Tekonsha trailer brake controller, aftermarket stereo with door panel-mounted speakers, heater, and floor-mounted transfer case shifter.
Metallic trim surrounds the instruments, which consist of a 100-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and readouts for the battery, temperature, and oil pressure. The odometer shows 12,343 miles, but this truck is mileage exempt according to its title.
The seller states that the rebuilt 350 under the hood and its rebuilt Turbo Hydra-matic three-speed auto are numbers-matching. The engine comes equipped with 8.5:1 compression and a four-barrel carburetor. A dual-range transfer case sends the V-8’s power to the rear wheels or all four of them when the going gets rough. Power front disc and rear drum brakes stop this K10 whether it’s on the road or a trail.
You can take this 1972 Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne Stepside wherever you want, but you have to get it first. To do that, place a bid and keep going until the auction ends on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 11:45 a.m. (PDT).
