The festivities for September 10 began with 100 pieces of collectible cool during the Automobilia Auction full of gas pumps and neon signs. Then, after a “virtual flyover” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” just under 200 vehicles crossed the block in front of star-struck enthusiasts and bidders. Highlights for Day 1 reflect traditional American collectible fare: 1930s hot rods, 1950s pickups, muscle and style from the 1960s, 1970-80s trucks, and V-10 goodness from the 1990s.
