Currently listed for sale on AutoHunter is this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. If you’re interested in a road-going ‘Vette with a nice stance, mild mods, and a fine color combination, look no further. Though originally equipped with a 327, the current mill is a 350 V-8 connected to a four-speed transmission. Features include removable hardtop, American Racing mags, Hurst shifter, aftermarket stereo with CD player, and more. Finished in Cortez Silver with a white soft top over a red interior, this C1 comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
The Cortez Silver paint is complemented by fluted chrome trim along the rocker panels and front fender scallops. Other features include driver-side chrome mirror, body-color removable hardtop, and chrome trim running from the cowl to the headlights. A set of 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust mags is wrapped in 215/65 Mastercraft Stratus radials.
The cabin features red vinyl upholstery — a nice choice to go with the silver hue. A Hurst shifter resides on the tunnel between the two bucket seats. Other features include manual steering and an aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD player.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery, and fuel. The odometer currently shows 81,328 miles, though the true mileage is unknown.
Gone is the original 327, replaced by a 350 V-8 featuring a four-barrel carburetor, Winters intake manifold, Crane roller cam, stainless steel headers, MSD HEI distributor, and more. The original transmission also has been replaced by a four-speed.
The undercarriage features four manual drum brakes and a dual exhaust system.
Nineteen sixty-two was a pivotal year for Chevrolet and the Corvette. It was the last year of the C1s, which featured refinements that made for a better Corvette. It also was the first year for the 327, a nice upgrade from the 283 that’s since been upgraded to a 350. Purists don’t need to be looking at the subject of our AutoHunter Spotlight, but someone interested in vintage looks and driving fun should gravitate toward this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. Sound like you? If so, be sure to place your top bid before Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (PDT).
