AutoHunter Spotlight: 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK550 Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz CLK550 was in some ways is a “sleeper” luxo-coupe. It had an unassuming exterior with restrained styling, yet under its hood lived a 5.5-liter, 382-horsepower V-8 that could propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in about five seconds. Featured on AutoHunter is a 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK550 Coupe listed for sale by a dealer in Orlando, Florida.

Mercedes’ C209 platform, upon which the CLK550 was built, first debuted in 2001 and remained in production through 2009. The production version of the CLK was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2002. One the defining characteristics of the CLK coupe was its pillarless hardtop design, which created an airy cabin when all four windows were rolled down.

Exterior features include xenon headlights, fog lamps, chrome grille, body side moldings, power sunroof, power-adjustable side mirrors, decklid spoiler, AMG-branded exhaust, and 18-inch split-spoke wheels wrapped in staggered-width Bridgestone tires.

In promotional materials like the brochure, Mercedes emphasized the CLK’s luxury-oriented amenities. “Heated front seats, standard. Sun-aware digital automatic climate control, standard. Rich leather upholstery accented with hand-polished wood trim, standard. Unmatched comfort and luxury, standard. The CLK is as comfortable for four adults as it is exhilarating.”

Cabin features include perforated beige leather upholstery, COMAND infotainment with navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power tilt/telescoping steering column, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and aluminum pedals.

The M273 5.5-liter DOHC V-8 is mated to a Touch-Shift seven-speed automatic transmission. The oil and filter were changed in March 2026, and the current odometer reading is 94,167 miles. The AutoCheck report shows history that is free of brands, accidents, recalls, insurance losses, or odometer issues. Following initial ownership in New York, the car was relocated to Florida in July 2012 and has remained in the state since that time.

This CLK550 is a high-performance luxury cruiser with recent maintenance, accident-free history, and unmodified equipment. When it comes to bang-for-the-buck, it’s an indulgent car at a practical price. Throw your bid in! You might end up driving home in a sexy pillarless hardtop.

The auction for this 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK550 Coupe ends Monday, June 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. (PDT).
