Right now on AutoHunter, you can find this frame-off restored 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad powered by a fuel-injected 350ci V-8 connected to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Sunset Orange Metallic and Pearl White over a tan leather interior, this vintage wagon is now offered by the private seller in California with floor mats, car bra, and clear title.
As part of a 2001 frame-off restoration, the body was soda blasted and repainted in the current color scheme of Sunset Orange Metallic and Pearl White. In addition, new glass was installed. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, bright trim, driver-side mirror, 20-percent window tint, LED tailights, tailgate trim, and dual exhaust outlets.
A set of 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with 205/70 (front) and 235/70 (rear) Hankook radials help this yesteryear classic cruise down modern roads. Behind the wheels are power front disc and rear drum brakes.
The cabin was updated with tan leather upholstery, front bucket seats, and a rear bench. Other updates include power locks and windows, tilt steering column, power steering, cruise control, Vintage Air A/C and heat, Alpine AM/FM/CD radio, and center console.
Instrumentation consists of Dakota Digital gauges, which include a speedometer, 8,000-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature. The digital odometer shows 22,274 miles but, because it doesn’t display six digits, the true mileage is 122,274.
Under the hood is a 350 that’s been bored .030 over and equipped with tuned-port fuel injection, cross-flow aluminum radiator, electric adjustable fan, and 100-amp one-wire alternator. A 700R4 four-speed automatic sends the engine’s power to a 10-bolt rear end with Positraction and 3.42 gears.
If you want to win this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad, you need to get your rear end moving and bid. Keep bidding until the auction ends on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:45 a.m. (PDT).
