I hope you have your iTunes or Spotify account open and ready to play because it’s time for another music-themed installment of Car Connections! I picked three US Top 40 singles for the week ending October 9, 1976, and found ways to link to them to automobiles. Those songs are “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty” by K.C and the Sunshine Band (#9), “Nadia’s Theme (The Young and the Restless)” by Barry DeVorzon and Perry Botkin Jr. (#28), and “Get The Funk Out Ma Face” by The Brothers Johnson (#30). You’ll see how I connected those songs to Toyota, BMW, and Ford, but how would you associate them with cars? Tell us in the Comments section below. (And click here for more Car Games!)

“(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty”: Butt. Caboose. Train. Toyota Supra! A modified fourth-generation version outran a train (along with a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T) at the end of “The Fast and the Furious.” Of course, I didn’t even have to tell you that, right? Doesn’t everyone know?

“Nadia’s Theme (The Young and the Restless)”: Nadia. Natalya. Natalya Simonova (played by Izabella Scorupco), the “Bond Girl” in the 1995 James Bond movie “Goldeneye.”

While helping 007 (Pierce Brosnan) defeat his colleague-turned-enemy Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean), Natalya rides with him in his Q Branch-issued BMW Z3 roadster — complete with Stinger missiles behind the headlights!

“Get The Funk Out Ma Face”: DJ and rapper Funkmaster Flex. The station wagon-like 2009-19 Ford Flex!
