However, there is a retired graphic designer on Facebook who is using AI appropriately, and it’s worth sharing because his approach is rather clever. There is a group on Facebook called Cars: Design & Style that has started to use AI to bring designers’ illustrations to life. Yes, it’s cool to see old illustrations of cars that were never created in a particular incarnation (or never created, period!), but what if they were brought to life in a familiar environment? 1973 Pontiac GTO proposal Image courtesy of Cars: Design & Style The realistic view gives consideration to so many things: Does it look better than what was eventually produced? Can you find something used for production while some other element was left on the drawing board? Was this an initial sketch or an evolutionary link?
