Have You Seen the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica Yet?

I recently caught sight of several unusual minivans. They all had a front end I just couldn’t pin, but everything behind that seemed familiar. It turns out that all of them were the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica.

Visiting Chrysler’s website, I see the brand has only two models for sale at dealerships — and they’re both minivans. The Voyager (formerly a Plymouth) is the entry-level van, with the Pacifica being slightly more upscale and available with more premium equipment. Both minivans feature slightly different front ends, with the Pacifica having a face that clearly screams Mopar; the Voyager’s looks more generic and nondescript, though there’s a resemblance between the two.

The Voyager will not be returning for 2027, leaving the Pacifica as the only minivan. The only model too? As far as I can tell, that will be true for 2027, with the former Voyager becoming the Pacifica LX and maintaining its unique front end.

Of course, Chrysler is trying to sell 2026 cars at this moment, so that’s what’s initially shown on its website, but scroll down and you’ll find a banner of the Chrysler Pacifica America250 Limited Editions, a trio of red/white/blue minivans with the new front end. Like many late-model cars, it features projection-beam headlights that are tucked away and don’t contribute to the car’s “face.” The front light bar, new logo (part of the light bar), and front fascia don’t look as if they’re from an American car. In fact, the front end almost reminds me of a Toyota.

Nineteen twenty-five was the founding of Chrysler, just over 100 years ago. For a company that has endured for so many years, its chances of survival concern me (not that this is a new sentiment). Perhaps when the second model joins the Pacifica, it will frame the current front-end design language better and begin to make sense to me. But, for now, it’s just another face in the crowd.
