AutoHunter Spotlight: 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Right now on AutoHunter, you can find this restored 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, which is powered by a rebuilt 350ci V-8 mated to a rebuilt TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in cranberry red over a black cloth and vinyl interior, this restored F-body is now offered by the private seller in Florida with a clean AutoCheck report and a clear title. The video below shows an exterior walk-around and the engine bay.

During a restoration completed in 2022, the color of the body was changed from the original White to the current cranberry red with two-tone gray Z28 stripes on the lower body, Cowl-Induction hood scoop, and rear end. Exterior features include inboard front turn signals, front fender vents, body-color mirror caps, three-piece rear spoiler, center-mounted rear fuel door, and dual exhaust outlets.

The gray 15-inch factory wheels coordinate with the Z28 stripes and come wrapped in 235/60 (front) and 255/70 (rear) Cooper Cobra Radial G/T raised-white-letter tires. Behind the spokes is a set of power front disc and rear drum brakes.

Inside the cockpit, the original Oyster cloth upholstery was replaced with black cloth and vinyl. Features include front bucket seats, power locks and windows, remotely adjustable driver-side mirror, tilt steering column, power steering, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with cassette player, and center console with covered storage.

Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, and temperature. A set of aftermarket gauges under the dashboard show the water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The odometer indicates 38,070 miles; the AutoCheck report’s most recent mileage figure of 37,447 miles was logged in July 2020 and noted as inconsistent with the car’s odometer history.

Taking the place of the original 305ci V-8 is a rebuilt 350, which is equipped with an upgraded cam and lifters as well as a four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, headers, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator, and March Performance serpentine kit. The rebuilt TH350 three-speed automatic has been upgraded with a shift kit.

If you want to make this 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 yours, shift into high gear and bid until the auction ends on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 11:45 a.m. (PDT).
