More Chevrolets from Argentina

There’s been much interest in the badge-engineered cars from Argentina I’ve been presenting, so I am sure these photos will whet your appetite. They are from an April 5th show hosted by the Club Amigos del Chevrolet in Buenos Aires.

Club member Pablo Andreacchio took these photos. I’ve known him from a diecast website for about 15 years, so when I travel to visit family in Argentina, I usually pay him a visit with Chevy II parts and/or diecast in hand. He has been kind enough to allow me to publish these photos for your enjoyment.

As it has been difficult to learn about the different models and model years (there isn’t a book to reference), all I can do is learn through observation. In fact, I posted a question on the Chevrolet 400 in a Facebook group and received five different answers. Sound familiar? From the looks of it, there’s little consistency to the images below, as it appears that some vehicles have been personalized by borrowing features from other model years.

You’ll also notice several Chevrolets that are more familiar to Americans, not to mention other brands that happened to show up. “Falcon, Dodge, Torino, and Chevrolet clubs get along really well and share different events,” says Pablo. Several of those will be spotlighted in a future story.

Gracias, Pablo!
