Not far from the Philadelphia International Airport, you can find one of the most amazing automotive museums in America. The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum is most famous for its collection of 75 historically significant race cars, but between August 8-23, 2026, it will be celebrating America’s 250th with the American Dream exhibition.
No word if the Hirohata Mercury will be in the exhibit, but it’s certainly an important part of American automotive culture.
The exhibition will feature classic American cars, trucks, hot rods, and muscle cars produced through 1976 (note the date — America’s Bicentennial). It is built around American automotive culture, from design and performance to everyday life and personal expression. These vehicles help show how the automobile became one of the clearest symbols of the American dream.

The Simeone is recruiting historically significant America vehicles for the exhibit. If you feel your vehicle is worthy of telling a part of the American tale, you should reach out to the museum by Tuesday, July 28, 2026, for consideration. Load-in for accepted vehicles takes place Monday, August 3.
