If you’re not a fan of the styling direction Chevrolet’s trucks took in the 1955 model year, don’t worry — Chevy totally changed things up just a few years later. For 1958, Chevrolet not only gave its trucks quad headlights, but it also renamed them: the light-, medium-, and heavy-duty truck lines respectively became known as Apache, Viking, and Spartan. Today, the AutoHunter Spotlight shines on one of those redesigned and renamed workhorses. Go to AutoHunter to start bidding on this 350-powered 1958 Chevrolet Apache big-window pickup. It comes from the selling dealer in Mankato, Minnesota with spare parts, manuals, and clear title.
The red exterior is even more head-turning thanks to chrome bumpers and grille, and bright trim. Additional exterior features include wrap-around windshield, dual side mirrors, cab-mounted fuel cap, big rear window, stepside bed with wood floor planks and red bed strips, padded tailgate chains, and black tailgate lettering.
Among others, one thing that a previous owner of this ’58 changed is the wheels, which are currently 15-inch American Racing wheels wrapped in 225/60 Grand Spirit (front) and 255/60 Grand Am Radial G/T (rear) tires.
The cabin benefits from an overhaul that brought new two-tone gray cloth upholstery for the bench seat, subwoofers behind the seat, red carpeting, turn signal assembly, wood-rimmed steering wheel, retro-look radio, and floor-mounted Lokar shifter.
Instrumentation consists of a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the temperature, amps, oil pressure, and fuel level. The odometer shows 2,201 miles, but this truck is mileage-exempt, according to its title.
Another major change to this truck is under the hood, where there’s a 350ci V-8 connected to a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Holley intake manifold, Hooker headers, and new starter. The transmission is now a 700R4 four-speed automatic with overdrive. Manual drum brakes bring the truck plus its passengers and cargo to a stop.
If you want this 1958 Chevrolet Apache, step on the gas and keep bidding on it until the auction ends on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. (PDT).
