Jeep Wrangler Switchback Edition Concludes Twelve 4 Twelve Series

When it comes to closing chapters in life, it’s often better to think about the good times instead of what could have been done differently. Reminiscing about positive memories can reduce stress and keep us healthy. Stellantis has taken this approach over the past year with the Twelve 4 Twelve series, creating special-edition Jeep Wranglers to reminisce about great moments in the brand’s history. The 12th and final edition will be the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Switchback.

“Twelve 4 Twelve unleashed creativity across the Jeep brand, bringing teams together to reimagine an icon through different perspectives while staying true to what has always defined Wrangler,” says Branden Coté, Jeep brand CEO. “What this team accomplished with Twelve 4 Twelve is truly unique, a testament to the creativity, passion, and collaboration that define the Jeep brand. Switchback is the perfect finale. It takes Wrangler’s inherent spirit of personalization somewhere unexpected, pairing bold contrasts and interchangeable elements with the legendary 4×4 capability at the heart of every Wrangler. Even after 85 years, there are still new ways to express what Wrangler can be.”

Available as a two- or four-door and based on the Wrangler Rubicon X, this special-edition Wrangler is powered by the 285-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and comes off-road-ready with a dual-range transfer case.

The real genius begins at the top of the assembly line: Jeep sequences each vehicle to be painted Gloss Black or Sting-Gray in alternating fashion, then the doors are swapped between two freshly painted Wranglers. The process ends with the dual-vented hoods being swapped during upfitting. At the end of all that, you have Wranglers painted gray with black doors and hood, and Wranglers painted black with gray doors and hood. Then, for another layer, each Wrangler receives a Gloss Black or Sting-Gray three-piece hardtop.

No matter which combination you prefer, all configurations receive Gecko accents on the grille surround, hood graphic, Beadlock wheel rings, and swing-gate decal. Customers will have the option of selecting a Gloss Black or Sting-Gray “Switchback” hood graphic and Sting-Gray “41” bodyside decal.

Inside this “Trail Rated” off-roader is a set of Global Black Nappa leather seats with embossed Switchback logo that pairs with a Sea Salt Nappa-trimmed instrument panel surround, armrests, and center-console lid for a luxurious contrast; the Global Black and Sea Salt Nappa are brought together by Pearl and Lime accent stitching that adds a hint of color. Jeep pays homage to its roots by including a Willys satin chrome shifter medallion and trim-specific HVAC vent graphics that show a seven-slot grille and a Willys silhouette.

Stellantis will accept orders for this edition starting in November 2026. The package itself is $2,870, but that is on top of the Rubicon X MSRP: $66,695 for the two-door, $69,995 for the four.
