Currently listed for sale on AutoHunter is this restored 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible powered by a big-block 427. But this isn’t just any big-block — it’s a 435-horsepower L71 427! The only transmission available was a close-ratio four-speed manual. Other features include power windows, steering, and brakes; Rally wheels; removable hardtop; aftermarket radio and speakers; and more. Painted LeMans Blue with a black soft top over a black interior, this C3 comes from the selling dealer with service records and a clear title.
The original color for this ‘Vette was Corvette Bronze, but many would agree it looks spectacular in LeMans Blue. The folding convertible top is black; the accessory hardtop is body-colored. Features include dual chrome mirrors, rear-mounted antenna, domed big-block hood, round exhaust pipes, and more. A set of Rally wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich radials: P235/60R15 (front) and P255/60R15 (rear).
The cabin features two black bucket seats, though the original color was Tobacco. A four-speed shifter is housed in the full center console. The matching-numbers 427 features three two-barrel carburetors and solid lifters, which helped it make 435 horsepower when new. Other features include Winters aluminum cylinder heads and intake. The numbers-matching M21 close-ratio four-speed is connected to 3.70 rear gears with Positraction.
The undercarriage features independent front and rear suspensions, power disc brakes at all four corners, and front and rear sway bars.
