A C30 Built Like a Big Rig

The wheels are arguably the defining feature of this custom C30.

Instead of the conventional wheels found on most classic Chevrolet truck builds, this C30 rolls on 10-lug aluminum dually wheels. Combined with the dual rear-wheel configuration and stretched C30 proportions, they give the truck a commercial-truck attitude rarely seen in the classic restomod truck world.

Then there are the details. A custom side-exit dual exhaust with a mild-to-wild active exhaust system exits ahead of the rear wheels, further emphasizing the truck’s big-rig-inspired appearance.

Modern V8 Power for a Vintage Heavyweight

Under the hood, the original work-truck formula gives way to modern power.

A fuel-injected GM Vortec 6000 6.0-liter V8 produces approximately 360 horsepower, backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. An aluminum radiator and electric cooling fan help keep the V8 cool.

Inside, the truck combines its vintage cab with TMI Sport XR interior components and digital instrumentation, while LED taillights add another modern touch. Resto parts were provided by CJ Pony Parts.

Finished in red with a coordinating red-and-black interior, the result is part classic Chevrolet, part custom hauler and part rolling showpiece.
