In a major crackdown, York Regional Police have dismantled an organized vehicle theft ring, recovering 52 high-end vehicles worth over $3.2 million. The operation, which lasted from October 2023 to January 2024, resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals involved in the criminal network. Multiple search warrants were executed in various jurisdictions, leading to 96 charges being laid. The stolen vehicles were being trafficked internationally, and the investigation is ongoing.
