Lamborghini Sues Chicago Dealer Over Sales to Banned Buyers

Lamborghini is taking one of its own to court. The Italian supercar maker says Gold Coast Exotic Imports in Chicago breached its contract by selling dozens of Lamborghinis to unauthorized resellers—including a convicted felon.

Key Points

  • Violation: At least 32 sales in 2023 allegedly went to non-retail customers, not allowed under dealer terms.

  • Scheme: Some cars went to brokers who flipped them, harming Lamborghini’s brand integrity.

  • Kickbacks: Lamborghini alleges a secret bonus-for-access program involving six-figure under-the-table payments.

The legal battle has raged since January 2024, but now both parties say they’re nearing a settlement. If talks fail, a trial could hit in December 2026.

Who Will Save Grattan Raceway? $15M Tag Stuns Track Fans

Grattan Raceway, a 2.0-mile gem tucked away in Western Michigan, is back on the market—and now it's asking a jaw-dropping $15 million. That’s more than double the rumored $7 million it quietly sought in 2023.

Key Points

  • Legacy: Opened 65 years ago and still owned by the founding family.

  • Facilities: Includes road course, motocross track, concessions, covered seating, and private pool.

  • Famous Fans: Celebs like Paul Newman, Tom Cruise, and Walter Payton once took laps here.

With over 4,000 feet of lake frontage and rising land values, it’s easy to imagine this becoming another lost track to real estate. But co-owner Kurt Faasen, now 72, hopes a buyer keeps the racing spirit alive.

Jay Leno Welcomes the 2025 Mustang GTD: Ford's Street‑Legal Le Mans Weapon Arrives in Style

When Ford CEO and lifelong gearhead Jim Farley shows up at Jay Leno's Garage with a flat?bed full of carbon?fiber muscle, you know something big is about to happen. In the newest episode of "Jay Leno's Garage," Farley personally hands over production GTD #12, the first customer?delivered 2025 Mustang GTD. Ford calls it "the greatest Mustang we've ever built," and after one look you will understand why.

A Mustang Built To Beat Europe

  • Goal: a sub?7?minute lap of the Nurburgring. Only four street?legal cars have ever done it, and none were American until now.
  • Active Drag Reduction System (DRS) and roughly 2,000 lbs of downforce. The tech is so extreme it is not allowed in current IMSA or Le Mans rules.

Heart of a Predator

Key specs:

  • Engine: supercharged 5.2?liter "Predator" V?8
  • Output: 815 horsepower / 664 lb?ft of torque
  • Drivetrain: rear transaxle 8?speed dual?clutch
  • 0?60 mph: about 3.2 seconds
  • Top speed: north of 190 mph
  • Price: starts around USD 325,000 before options

Carbon Everywhere, Race?Car Rigidity

Roof, fenders, hood, trunk lid, driveshaft and aero parts are all carbon fiber. The chassis is stiff enough to rival a full GT3 racer. Massive ceramic Brembo brakes with titanium lug nuts make sure it stops as hard as it goes.

Jay & Jim Talk Shop

  1. Moving the transmission to the rear for a true 50/50 weight balance.
  2. A polycarbonate rear window that shows off the in?board suspension and transaxle – an idea Farley pushed for.
  3. A direct challenge to Porsche, Aston Martin and AMG: "See you at the ’Ring."

Why It Matters to My Car Show Radio Fans

Muscle?car attitude meets Le Mans pedigree. Whether you wrench on a '69 Mach 1 or just dream of the latest track weapon, the GTD writes the next chapter in Mustang legend. Expect its supercharged howl to star in a future "Engine Anthems" segment.

Suspects Caught After Trying To Flee Police Through Car Wash

In Aurora, Colorado, a high-stakes police pursuit came to a squeaky-clean conclusion—literally. Four suspects in a stolen white Chevy Silverado tried dodging police by driving through a Denver car wash. Instead of escaping, they got rinsed, surrounded, and arrested.

Key Points

  • The Setup: Silverado had stolen plates and visible stolen goods in the bed.

  • The Chase: Suspects fled when officers attempted a traffic stop.

  • The Fail: They rammed a car in the wash—then got boxed in and cuffed.

No paint spray or turbo boost saved them here. Police brought the chase to a safe and surreal end. One thing’s clear: real life isn’t Grand Theft Auto.

U.S.–EU Trade Deal Lowers Tariffs, Keeps Pressure on Auto Sector

The U.S. and EU have struck a trade deal that slashes threatened tariffs on European cars from 27.5% to 15%. President Trump called it a win for American consumers, but auto leaders across Europe are bracing for billions in added costs.

Key Points

  • Tariff Relief: U.S. settles on a 15% flat tariff for EU goods, down from the initially proposed 30%.

  • Industry Backlash: German VDA warns of multi-billion euro losses under new regime.

  • Market Moves: Ferrari up 1%, but BMW, VW, and Mercedes all dip on tariff fallout.

With automakers already struggling to manage slim margins and global supply chain shifts, analysts say this “deal” may be just the start of longer-term reshuffling in where and how cars get built.

GTA-Style Heist: Everett Fire Truck Rampage Wrecks 14 Cars

Friday night in Everett, Washington looked like a Grand Theft Auto side mission. While firefighters rushed upstairs on a medical call, someone jumped into their 2018 Pierce Enforcer pumper, flicked on the strobes, and tore through town. By the time the 35-thousand-pound monster stopped, at least 14 cars wore new creases—and the mystery wheel-man had vanished into the dark.

Key Points

  • Heavy Metal Mayhem: The 35,000-lb Pierce Enforcer flattened vehicles across three crash sites.

  • Driver at Large: Suspect ditched the rig and fled on foot; police still hunting.

  • Policy Shake-Up: Everett Fire will review locking and idling rules after the stunt.

With insurance adjusters tallying twisted sheet-metal and investigators pouring over CCTV, locals wonder how fast authorities can collar the culprit—and how departments nationwide will secure their rigs from the next would-be gamer.

Prince of Darkness, Power of Horsepower

Remembering Ozzy Osbourne (1948–2025) through the cars that roared alongside the riffs

A Farewell Lap

Heavy-metal legend Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025 at age 76 after a long fight with Parkinson’s disease. Tributes poured in from Black Sabbath bandmates, family, and fans worldwide. While My Car Show Radio usually measures life a quarter-mile at a time, today we’re downshifting to celebrate Ozzy’s lifelong fascination with machines on four wheels.

Late License, Quick Cars

Believe it or not, the “Prince of Darkness” didn’t pass his driving test until 2009 — on his 19th attempt, at age 60. Substance-fueled nerves and a chaotic schedule had kept him off the road for decades, yet as soon as he had that license in hand, he began assembling a stable every bit as loud as his music.

The Garage of a Rock God

# Car Why It Fit Ozzy Quick Specs / Story
1 Rolls-Royce Phantom No car whispers “royalty” like a Phantom — perfect for the self-styled Prince of Darkness. Hand-built V12 limo often seen outside the Osbourne home.
2 Ferrari 458 Italia Sleek, black, and wickedly fast — Ozzy’s modern batmobile. He “kissed” another car in L.A. traffic with fewer than 20 miles on the clock, then swore off daily driving.
3 Audi R8 V10 A supercar that still feels like a daily driver — ideal once Oz finally had his license. Matte-grey example photographed outside Beverly Hills studio sessions.
4 Aston Martin Vantage A nod to his British roots — heavy metal meets handmade alloy. Reportedly a deep Chiltern Green V8 kept in the U.K.
5 Bentley Continental GT Grand-touring comfort when Sharon insisted on something “sensible.” Twin-turbo W12, quilted leather, and enough sound insulation to muffle a full-blast playback of “Crazy Train.”
6 Jaguar XJS V12 Classic Brit bruiser he once pegged at 130 mph — then told the story on The Osbournes. One of the first cars he felt truly proud to own.
7 Triumph (first car) Humble beginnings: a tired British saloon bought long before platinum records. “Ran as rough as an early Sabbath demo,” Ozzy joked.

Rock & Roll Intervention: After a relapse in 2013, Sharon reportedly sold most of Ozzy’s cars to keep him from driving under the influence — proof that even legends sometimes need a pit crew looking out for them.

What Ozzy’s Keys Tell Us About the Man

Loud but refined. From the shrieking R8 to the stately Phantom, Ozzy balanced raw horsepower with opulence — mirroring the contrast between his stage antics and soft-spoken off-stage persona.

British heart, global garage. Even with Italian exotics in the mix, his collection always circled back to U.K. marques like Aston and Jaguar.

Speed tempered by caution. That Ferrari fender-bender and a near-fatal 2003 ATV accident convinced Ozzy to enjoy most drives from the passenger seat, leaving the wheel to chauffeurs and family.

Final Thoughts

Ozzy Osbourne’s music will keep rattling speaker grilles for generations. But for those of us who speak fluent octane, his eclectic fleet reminds us that passion, personality, and a little bit of madness belong in the driver’s seat.

Raise a wrench, cue up “Paranoid,” and keep the shiny side up.

Prince of Darkness Gone: Ozzy Osbourne Dies at 76

Ozzy Osbourne—Black Sabbath founder, solo legend, and reality-TV anti-hero—passed away this morning surrounded by family. The Prince of Darkness was 76.

Key Points

  • Final Bow: Played a charity-packed Sabbath send-off at Birmingham’s Villa Park on 5 July 2025, just 17 days ago.

  • Health Battle: Lived with Parkinson’s since 2019, yet kept touring, recording, and laughing on camera.

  • Cultural Impact: From biting a bat to starring in The Osbournes, Ozzy turned shock rock into mainstream TV and sold over 100 million records.

Osbourne’s howl defined heavy metal’s birth and its mainstream takeover. Expect tributes, chart re-entries, and a fast-tracked 2026 concert film of that final show. For now, crank “Crazy Train,” salute toward Birmingham, and let the amps hum.

GM Beats Q2 Estimates, Battles $1.1 B Hit From Tariffs

  • Insurance Angle: Dealership “garage liability” usually foots the bill—unless gross negligence or private-seller rules apply.

  • Internet Reaction: Commenters joked to haggle $5 k off or call it a “Tacoma × Oreo” collab.

A detailer can likely buff it out, but the story’s still smearing its way across feeds. Keep an eye on whether the dealer eats the cost—and if that Tacoma finds a proud new owner.

Florida Man Breaks New 'Super Speeder' Statute — Speeding Law

Florida’s “super speeder” law hadn’t even finished its first chorus before a Buick Envision screamed past at 104 mph. Two minutes after midnight on July 1, deputies flipped the blues and made history—plus one very expensive example—for the state’s toughest new traffic statute.

Key Points

  • Record Timing: First violation booked 00:02 AM on launch day—talk about a hole-shot.

  • New Law: Drivers 50 mph over the limit or 100+ mph “in a threatening manner” now face stiffer fines and potential jail time.

  • Penalty Box: Our unnamed Florida Man left the scene in cuffs; his passenger Florida Woman scored a front-row seat to the show.

The sheriff’s office is already milking the moment on social, hoping fear of fresh fines will do what roadside billboards can’t—slow the Sunshine State’s lead-foot brigade.

VW 'Magic Bus' Rescued From Palisades Inferno—Microbus Restoration

The Palisades Fire torched just about everything in its path last January—except one plucky Volkswagen Microbus. Parked on a Malibu street, the van dodged flames that swallowed homes and cars around it. Now VW is turning the survivor into a headline act, hauling it to their Oxnard engineering center for a factory-fresh makeover.

  • Miracle Save: Malibu Microbus survives January’s Palisades Fire with driver’s side untouched, passenger half scorched.

  • Factory Rescue: VW Oxnard engineering center to perform nut-and-bolt rebuild, using corporate heritage experts and OEM parts.

  • Fast Turnaround: Complete restoration promised by late 2025—lightning quick compared with most year-long vintage van projects.

Once the “Magic Bus” is road-worthy, VW hints it may tour shows and charity events before parking in the brand’s heritage fleet.
